🫧 New features, profitable SaaS businesses & better notes

Hello friend,

If you’re new around here, every week we share the most interesting things we found about Bubble in the past 7 days.

We browse and read, so you don’t have to.

This week’s finds:

  • Custom responsive breakpoints for easier design management

  • Two profitable SaaS tools built with Bubble for sale

  • Simple custom CSS to create sticky groups

  • Browser extension for better notes

Let’s get to it.

Custom responsive breakpoints for easier design management

Bubble has released a new feature allowing users to create custom responsive breakpoints for their apps.

The update aims to enhance modularity and simplify the process of designing for multiple screen sizes.

It works in two steps:

  1. Under the Design tab Responsive, users can now manage the default layout and define custom breakpoints.

  2. Instead of manually copying and pasting conditionals with pixel values, users can now use the name of the breakpoint as a variable, simplifying the process significantly.

The update was well received by the community and the Bubble team also made clear that this is only a first step towards their vision of a future single-tab responsive experience.

Two profitable SaaS tools built with Bubble for sale

Exciting news in the no-code world – there are two cool SaaS tools up for grabs on Microns, and guess what? They're both built using Bubble. Check out this

It's not just about playing around with no-code anymore; folks are actually selling real, functional businesses built with it. This shows Bubble is the real deal, and no-code isn't just a passing trend – it's a legit way to launch businesses.

So, if you ever doubted whether you could create something serious without being a coding whiz, these tools prove no-code is the real MVP, making business-building accessible and straightforward.

Simple custom CSS to create sticky groups

While working on a landing page for a client we came across the need for sticky scrolling. Almost every website you visit nowadays uses this behaviour for improved user experience and giving their designs a modern look and feel.

The easiest way we found is to use custom CSS styling in a HTML block. And it only takes 2 minutes to set it up.

  1. Create your Bubble component by aligning two column groups in a row container.

  2. Assign an ID attribute to the sticky group (left column in this example)

  3. Add a hidden HTML with the following CSS snippet to your page.

Browser extension for better notes

The note feature in Bubble is very crude and rudimentary and thus something I barely use. But this might finally change now thanks to the Chrome extension Elemental developed by Bryan that I found last week.

Elemental adds advanced commenting features like:

  • linking to relevant workflows, actions & elements

  • embedding of Loom recordings in the notes

  • search

  • to do lists

& many more.

I believe with the growth of the ecosystem we will see more and more of these tools popup that push the boundaries of what is possible with Bubble.

Hope you enjoyed this email! See you next week.
